Phuket is Thailand's largest island, a idyllic site for the country's premier international beach resort. It’s the best place for visitors from the different countries.Much of the island's charm is that the ocean facing west coast is lined with a series of bays where white sand beaches span between two rocky points. This makes for a series of relatively intimate places rather than one big unbroken stretch of sand lined with high rise hotels and packed with people. See the Phuket beaches page for an overall map to the main beaches and towns of the island.

The most happening beaches in Phuket are: -

Patong Beach:

Patong is the most famous beach resort in Phuket. With its wide variety of activities and shopping, itsan ideal place to party and play.

KaronBeach:

Karon is concentrated around three main areas: The Karon Plaza area on the south end features a number of budget guesthouses, restaurants and bars. The side sois are worth exploring, particularly the one that leads to a small art community.

Kata Beach :

The pleasant bay of Kata, just a few minutes south of Karon Beach, entices and charms many visitors with its white sands and clear waters. Very popular beach for families, Kata is an all round favourite due to its spectacular palm-lined beach, great restaurants, lively but not raucous nightlife and varied accommodation options - all close to the beach.

Kamala Beach :

Kamala Beach is a beautiful long stretch of beach that's pretty deserted, even in high season. The main reason it's deserted and there aren’t same high numbers of tourists in Kamala as some other places so there's a plenty of space for tourist. A day spent on the beach is truly a lazy day, not too many distractions......perfect.

Laem Singh Beach :

This small, hidden gem of a beach just south of Suring is accessible only by walking down a fairly steep path from the road. Even so, it can get busy in the high season so get there early for a beach chair. A few rustic restaurants offer cold drinks and food. A pretty, quiet place to while away an afternoon.

SurinBeach :

Surin'scasuarina-lined beachfront is a gathering place for locals and visitors alike to snack on barbecued seafood, enjoy a cool drink and escape the heat of the day.it's not surprising it's many people's favourite beach in Phuket. Unlike the other busy beaches of Phuket, there's a refreshing absence of jet-skis and speed boats here since Suring lacks a launch area.
